Amidst all the packing, I thought I would be able to find time to participate in this month's Papertrey Ink blog hop challenge. Alas I am very late but going to link this anyway. I can't wait to have time to go through and see what fantastic creations everyone has made.
"This month's blog hop is all about fabulous felt! We know you love this new addition to our product line-up and we would love to see what you are doing with it! From borders to focal points, paper crafts to sewing projects. Hair accessories to home decor accents. Cards to scrapbook layouts. We want to
see it all!"
I decided that I wanted to make something other than a card, so I thought I would make something to put a gift card in. A little pouch, so here it is.
Unfortunately the felt isn't PTI as I haven't gotten my order yet but the buttons, ribbon and stamps are. I stamped the images from the "life" set onto canvas with brown Staz-on and cut them out and glued them on. The ribbon is lemon tart and buttons are from the vintage mix.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope everyone is having a great week.

quick OLW post
Quick post today before work! We are in the middle of getting ready for a trip to Europe, the early stages of house building and listing, work and derby practice! I know, I know life is crazy! I get kinda sad when life gets in the way of crafting but I have to admit my mojo is slipping away anyway!
I made this for Susan's one layer wednesday challenge. I thought I would try to get away from the white or kraft base card I apparently love so much. :)
I found this really pretty ribbon in my stash which is pretty just by itself, but I felt the need to add just a little bit more to it. So I added the dots from the PTI retro backgrounds and a sentiment from Hero Arts card messages set.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger
The Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger always seems to grab me! This week it was the colour combo. The greens and bright pinks really go well together. I had wanted to somehow incorporate the wooden button from the bag in the trigger picture but I couldn't figure out how to make it work!
The bag is gorgeous and if I didn't have a European trip coming up fairly soon I might be very tempted to buy it!
Visit the "Handmade by Daphne" store to see many more delicious bags!
On to the card. It was cut out with my nestie circle (largest of the small set). The flowers are Hero Arts from the bloom borders set. The sentiment is PTI.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
OLW
Well it's been quite a while since I have been able to craft & post! Between work, play & other responsibilities it's sometimes hard to find the time. :)
But I found a little tonight between playing hostess for Mother's day dinner and switching over to the night shift. Plus I just HAD to honour my mom with a little card making!
So.....since I have a hard time passing up a challenge, I decided to participate in Susan's one layer wednesday one. Check out her other stuff too, she makes amazing clean & simple cards!
The challenge was to make a one layer card and incorporate punctuation. Sounds easy right? Not for me! I think I said a few curse words trying to wrangle out a card. So I thought this end result was quite fitting!
Also fitting since I have a terrible memory. I am told the best thing is to write it down, but I forget to do that too!
The inside simply says "it's your birthday". The larger alphabet is a Penny Black one that was my mom's, woodblock no less, the small font is PTI. Party hat is Hero Arts.
Thanks for looking! I hope no one was offended! :)
Happy (belated) Mother's Day!
