Well sort of! I was kind of looking forward to some crafting time now that our pressing (reno) duties were out of the way! But I sprained my wrist last night during our Rookie Rumble (I am newly playing rollerderby!).
Oh well, the healing time shouldn't be too long. I will say though, it takes a long time to type. :)
I am off to bed but wanted to share a card I made for a friend who lifted my spirits and sent me hugs on the anniversary of my Mom's passing. It meant a lot that she was thinking of me, as it's hard not to be blue sometimes.
It makes me happy to craft as I feel close to her when I do! And this card makes me happy! All products but the ink are Papertrey Ink, the felt, the stamps the cloud dies and the paper.
Thanks for stopping by!

color cue challenge #7
Renos are mostly done, the house is up for sale, and finally we have some "free" time! I hope there's some summer left to enjoy! :)
I decided to come back to crafting with (surprise!) a challenge. For some reason I was really drawn to this colour combo in the ColorCue challenge on the Wplus9 blog.
I liked it so much I have made a few cards! The first set of cards was made with Papertrey Ink paper and Wplus9 stamps, woodgrain silhouettes.
They are fairly simple, but I guess that's how I roll!
I got so excited about the colours and decided to make another one. I used Papertrey Ink's Up Up and Away set and the background paper is from a digital paper kit from Two Peas by Katherin Teague called Into the Woods.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE balloons! I remember going to watch the balloon festival in Calgary when I was a kid. There was a dinosaur one (T-Rex I think!) that I always would look for, so there was no way I wasn't going to be buying this set! I'm glad I finally got to ink it up.
Thanks for looking, I hope it's a good day.
