you're seriously awesome!

Good morning!

I seriously hope this posts!!
Blogger and I are on the outs again, and I can't quite seem to figure out why.

Anyway, today I have a pretty card to share with you.
The more I look at it the more I enjoy it.
Is that weird?

I started this card out with a COMPLETELY different idea in mind, and then it quickly morphed into this.

I just, again, used my distress ink pads that I "smooshed" onto my craft pad then spritzed with water.
Then grabbed a clear block and started dabbing.

The gold Delicata ink was just sitting there on my desk begging to be used and I thought it might go nicely!

I used Avery Elle's set Write It
the font is just so beautiful don't you think?

Well, thank you so much for stopping by today.
I'm hoping I can get this posting issue fixed soon.

Have a wonderful week!

RetroSketch #116

Hey there, happy Saturday!!

It's time for a new RetroSketch challenge sketch.

This week's sketch is based on this little beauty by Arielle.

Here's my take!

I used A couple of Avery Elle sets for this one, Bright Days (for the rays), Simply Said: Hello for the sentiment, and the Simply Said: Hello die.
I also used their inks, Fizz and Mimosa, (which I LOVE!!)

Hop on over to the RetroSketch blog for more inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Avery Elle, May Arts and Um Wow week long blog hop

Good Morning!!
All this week over at Avery Elle we are doing a super fun week long blog hop.

The Avery Elle DT got the amazing chance to play with some fabulous May Arts ribbon and Um Wow embellishments.

These products were so easy to use together.

I used the Avery Elle set Written In The Stars, some May Arts 1/2 inch woven burlap ribbon, Um Wow Twinkle Speech Bubbles and the Um Wow Star Confetti mask.

Now since I used watercolour for the mask, it of course leaked, but I really like the way it turned out.

Be sure to check out the Avery Elle Blog all this week for projects using May Arts ribbon and UmWowStudio products.

Storybook gift wrap

Good morning!

Today I have a gift wrapping share for you. I absolutely ADORE this fabulous Avery Elle set, Storybook.

Storybook Clear Stamps

The images are just too cute for words, and what better to use them for but to create some adorable gift wrap.

I took some plain packing paper, stamped those fabulous little animals in some brown chalk ink and Voila! homemade wrapping paper.

I like the look of the twine to carry on the rustic feel of it.

Pop on over to the Avery Elle blog to see what wonderful creations Chunyuan has in store for you.

Retrosketch #112 and a goodbye?

Good Morning!

It's Saturday and that means it's time for a new RetroSketch challenge.

This one is from our new DT member Erin.
Isn't it fabulous?

Her original card (here) is just so bright and eye catching, I love it!

Again I made the sketch a tad smaller to showcase it a little more, allowing it to be framed.

The arrow "paper" was made using a little adorable arrow from the TAWS Arpil set Bee Unique. The sentiment and little heart bubble are from Trees Company.

So the goodbye comes in here.
I am stepping down from my TAWS DT spot, hopefully temporarily.
Things have been a bit crazy around here lately, and although I ADORE "working" for Alison, I need to shift my focus a bit more onto my family.

Be sure to head on over to the RetroSketches blog for some amazing inspiration with the new sketch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

And just because, here's a few pics of one of my favourite bosses!!

RetroSketch #111

Good Morning!

It's time for a new RetroSketch challenge, and this week's is based on this ADORABLE card by Arielle.

I decided to use it on a bit of a smaller scale!

The sentiment is from TAWS' set Bee Sweet and the little hearts are from Bee Happy, the super cute mini that comes free with a $40 purchase this month at the store.

Head on over to the RetroSketches blog for more fun inspiration using this week's sketch.

Happy Easter!!

be unique!!

Good morning!!

I'm here today with a quick share using the new TAWS bee unique and bee happy sets.
(be happy is the free with $40 purchase set this month!)

The hexagons are from Bee Happy.

To make the sentiment, I used the "bee" available in the Bee Unique set. Since I didn't use a bee image on my card,
I masked off the second "e" with washi, inked it up, removed the washi and stamped.
It worked wonderfully!

To colour the end of the banner pink,
I stamped the hexagon on the end trying to line up one of the points.
It's off a little but but I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

more watercolour fun!

Hey there!

Now that I've tried the whole watercolour thing I am in LOVE with it.

All of my most recent pins have been watercolour in nature. :)
Using my Distress inks has worked perfectly.

For this one I used Avery Elle's new set Brushed.

Avery Elle Brushed Clear Stamps

I adore the font, and the brush strokes a splotches are fabulous!

Head on over to the Avery Elle blog for more inspiration with the new sets.

Thanks for stopping by.

This one is based off of one our new DT member Erin created, that you can see here.

For my card I have used the new TAWS Star of the Show set, along with an oldie but goodie, Learning Curve for the sentiment.
