Just a super quick post to share the card I made for my Mother-in-law's birthday yesterday! She is a triplet (not identical), and naturally, how cool is that! What's even more cool is that her aunt is also a triplet and my husband is a twin! Yikes! I think it's a really good thing that the deciding factor is the mom, because I have NO multiples on my side. :)
We went over yesterday for dinner, before I went to work and her one brother surprised her with a visit! (one of the triplets). Unfortunately they lost their other brother about 7 years ago to Lou Gehrig's disease, so birthdays are still a bit hard.

Wow, that's a lot of multiples for one family! I'm sure this card will be well-loved -- it's simple and elegant at the same time. Love that you used the negative of the die cut as a lovely frame.

Oh, I love this design! Some of my favorite cards are ones with a die cut window like this, but I rarely think to do it myself! And that woodgrain! LOVE!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!! My dad is a twin but his twin didn't survive birth. It's kinda fun to imagine 2 of him which would have been fun since he's an awesome dad.

ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of multiples like that on my dad's side, and I am sorry to also hear about them losing their brother it's even harder to take a loss when they are a multiple. I love the little touches in your card like the aqua heart! Very nice!
