Avery Elle February Release Blog Hop

Good Morning!

Today is a fun day because It's time for Avery Elle to release their new February sets.

And these ones are so darn adorable!!

Plus not only are there 4 new sets, there are some new cardstock colours and textures.

Just a reminder that all products you see along the hop will be available tonight, at the Avery Elle store, as of midnight EST.

My card was made using the new set, Hipster-potamus!

The sentiment is actually from one of the other new releases, What's Up.

Paper Smooches!!

Good Morning!!

I am so very excited to be helping showcase some of Paper Smooches new FABULOUS dies.

Paper Smooches is showing off their CHA release 

during the entire month of January.  

37 designers are participating along with the PS DT, so there will be a ton for projects to inspire you this month.  

Paper Smooches is known for their fun and whimsical hand-drawn stamps.  

They decided that it was time to broaden their product line to include DIES and wood mount stamps!  

I have a couple projects to share using NEW PS product that releases on February 1, 2013 at www.papersmoochesstamps.com 

along with many retail stores around the globe.

I used their new Small Hot Spot Die, which is a base and then comes with a piece that fits in the space.
There is also a set of interchangeable plates for that space, seriously super cute.

I used A Little Lovin for the sentiment and image, and the Small Hot Spots Base die.

There are so many different uses, 
which is why I couldn't stop at just one card. :)

Plus these dies cut like a dream!!

This one uses the interchangeable star plate, and Pip Squeaks and A Little Lovin.

I wanted to use some more yummy products from i {heart} papers for this project, so I chose some Basic Grey paper, Paper Cottage, and a couple of adorable sets from Paper Smooches, Cyber Cafe and Warm Hearts.

I also used the little die cut heart from the WPlus9 die set Seasonal Sentiments, and Memento's Rich Cocoa ink pad.

Happy Saturday!

It's that time again, time for a new RetroSketch challenge. :)

This week's sketch is based on this stunning card,

by our fabulous headliner Jen.

Didn't she do a fabulous job? Gorgeous!!

When I saw this sketch I knew exactly which flower I wanted to use.

I used the flower from the Paper Smooches set Pretty Momma, which can be found at i {heart} papers.

I used a few other products from there, the patterned paper is Echo Park's Bundle of Joy, the thank you sentiment is Technique Tuesday's So Very Thankful set.

I also used the Eclipse masking tape to mask the flowers, and Memento Tuxedo black ink with the Copics.

Oh my, January is going fast! 

I can't believe it's already the 12th. :)

I have another card made using the TAWS January set Lighter Than Air,

to share with you.

I LOVE this card! I am not usually this much in love with my own cards, but I just love how bright and pretty it turned out!!

It is a LOT of pink though, which normally I'm not a huge fan of.

Hello!!

I have a quick little card to share with you today.

I guess I shouldn't say quick since it took a few tries for me to like the outcome!!

I used a couple of I {heart} Papers products for this.

For the background I used a similar technique to this, but used regular paper and copics, instead of distress inks and watercolour paper. 

To moisten and "smoosh" the copic ink I spritzed it with rubbing alcohol.

I used Copic colour BG18, the Technique Tuesday "so very thankful" stamp set, and some tuxedo black Memento ink so it wouldn't run.

Being Saturday, I have a fabulous new RetroSketch to share with you.

I decided to stick with the same kind of elements.

I used some fabulous goodies from i {heart} papers.

The background is Interlocking Backdrops by Lawn Fawn, the papers are Basic Grey from their Paper Cottage collection, the cute wooden sentiment banner is from Jillibean Soup, and the butterfly stamps are from Paper Smooches Flap Happy set.

Hello!

I hope you are having a great 2013 so far. :)

Today was my first day off in the New Year and all I got done today

was have a permanent crown put in, and some serious napping!

Not terribly productive!! Oh well.

I also got thinking about books, which somehow led me to coffee shop.

Happy New Year!!

I very much do {heart} papers!!
(you should see my many many piles of it!!)
