I have to be honest, I have been doing a LOT of sleeping lately!
I was hoping to do so much more with my time off. :)
Although I am super happy because my temporary cast is gone, and I now have a full cast which, although heavier, feels much better.
Anyway, on to my card!!
I have been trying to participate in more challenges to get my mojo going. And since I LOVE CAS-ual Fridays challenges, here's a card for this week's.
Now I know this is SUPER simple but my embossing process was a little more involved. Well sort of!!
I didn't have a folder for what I had in mind but I did have a die cut of a snowflake i love. So, I die cut a few snowflakes from my PTI coasters. (they are thicker, and I thought would stand up to the embossing better)
Then I placed them onto my white cardstock, and ran it through my Cuttlebug.
I think the end result worked pretty well.
This close-up kinda shows the texture of the coasters. Neat I think!
Well, that's it!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. :)
Great idea!!!! Will def have to do that sometime!

ReplyDeleteIngenious embossing idea! Gotta try that one! By the way, I've used regular old coasters from the bar (I asked first!) and they seem to work just as well...so when you run out, just get a beer!

Sleep is good! It's probably helping you heal better! :> Love your card! Did you try to use a rubber pad when you embossed? That usually makes it emboss deeper. :> Love the little red twine bow!
