merry tags

Hello there!

I have another quick Christmas tag to share with you today.

I used the Avery Elle set,

I used Gift Tags Dies to cut out the tags, and stamped the Christmas image.
I thought it needed a little something more along the bottom, so I used the vine from Happy Spring.
The "to" and "from" are from the Alice and Friends set.

we r family

Good Morning again!

For this post, I thought I would change things up a bit.

My usual MO is to make cards or gift tags, but every so often I decide to tackle something that is, for me, a bit more difficult.......

......A layout!!!

The new sets We R Family, and  We R Family additions, are just so darn perfect for this!

I also used some of the adorable little die cuts from the Finished Frames dies.

I'm pretty sure we are going to frame and hang this one.

Please be sure to head on over to the Avery Elle blog to check out more inspiration by the fabulous Chunyuan.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

happy holidays

Good morning!

I can't believe it's already November and I can't believe that it's only 6 weeks to Christmas!!

I always say "I'll be more organized and on top of things next year".
Then the next year comes and I'm rushing to get things done, the same as I was the year before.

Oh well, some day?

While getting into the holiday spirit, I created this adorable little card using some older and (some new) Avery Elle sets, as well as their newly released dies,

I just love the edge you get on the paper when you cut these out, there is a larger size panel as well.
Now unfortunately I mostly covered up that edge with my stamping, but it still adds a bit of texture.

There are so many cute little die cuts that you can use as embellishments. I have actually used a few on a layout I will be showing you next week.

The other sets I used are North Pole, Joy to the World, and Let it Snow.

season's greetings

Hello, and good day!

I hope the week has gotten off to a good start, so far.

The weather here has been so lovely lately, I'm sort of scared for what might be in the works!!

But I'll take what I can get, it's supposed to be 14 degrees here for Halloween, and I couldn't be happier.
It will be so nice to not have to put your snowsuit on underneath your costume this year.

Anyway, today I have a card to share that is simple and festive.

I used the new "Season's Greetings" die from Avery Elle.

Now I would have loved to pop this panel up but a) I was too lazy to pop up all of those extra little pieces, and b) I actually think it stands out a bit more not being popped up.

Have a wonderful week!

enjoy the book

Hello!

I hope you are having a fabulous day.

Today I have a quick project to share with you. I am loving making bookmarks these days, for some unknown reason. Especially since so many people are forgoing paperbacks for the digital age.
But it's just something I can't give up!

This adorable fox is from Avery Elle's new set More Stories, which complements perfectly the older set, Storybook.

I also used Picture It and Bottle It Up for the sentiment and speech bubble.

HEad on over to the Avery Elle blog for more inspiration from the fabulous Chunyuan today as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!!

a floral thanks

Good day!

I hope you are having a wonderful day, I know it's the start of a new week but......maybe?

I am just coming off of a fabulous visit with my bestie, who came out from Ontario to visit and run a Spartan race in Kamloops.
It was a lovely visit and my little man just ADORES her.

Anyway, on to the card!

This bright, floral thank you card was made using all Avery Elle pigment inks. They are so easy to work with, and the colours are just fantastic.

The flowers and dies are from the new Fabulous Florals stamps and dies. There are just so many different combinations and they also pair nicely with Laurels, and Petals & Stems.

I am just so happy with the way this turned out. :)

This weekend we also had some family photos done, and we just got some sneak peeks and they are fantastic.
I have to share a few.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great week.

noel

Good morning!

I've been working like crazy to finish some sewing I've been doing for a craft fair this weekend.

But taking a quick break to share a card I made using Avery Elle's new set Noel.

I used the Cherry Pigment Ink pad with a sponge to create the background.

I love how bold it is.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
have a wonderful week!

a tag for you

Good Morning!

I'm a day late but have a cute little tag to share with you,
using Avery Elle's new set North Pole.

I masked off the Santa hat to just use the "ho ho ho" to background stamp the tag I cut using Gift Tags die. And stamped the sentiment from the Simply Tags: Everyday set.

Then I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the adorable penguin and popped him up onto a banner I cut out using Dotted dies.

I'm definitely on a tag making kick lately!

I hope you are having a wonderful week so far,
thanks so much for stopping by!

be jolly

Good morning!
Today I have a quick and festive card to share with you.
I mean, we got snow here yesterday,
so it kind of put me in a "winter" frame of mind.

I made this card using the fabulous images and sentiment from Be Jolly
One of Avery Elle's new Fall release sets.

It may be a mini but it's so much fun.

sending thanks

Hey there!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
My husband and I spent it away from the little man (first time since his birth 17.5 months ago!!!) and went back to where we got married to celebrate our 5th anniversary.

It was a lot of fun, an although we were only away for 23 hours, we spent much of that time talking about him!!
Oh well, that little creature does sort of rule the roost around here!!

Anyway, today I am sharing a little thank you card that I will be giving to my in-laws to thank them for taking such great care of the kid.

I used Avery Elle's Many Thanks set.
I just love this bold font, and how it stands out so well against the watercolour backdrop.

Pop on over to the Avery Elle blog to check out a stunning card by Chunyuan!

The "happy" was cut out using some fabulous new patterned paper that Avery Elle will be releasing tomorrow!!

It is absolutely fabulous, and coordinates with their most popular ink pad colours.

sending hugs

Hey there!

The blog has been a bit quiet lately.
I have been trying to spend more time with my family in between all of the things that take us away. :)

My son and I recently got back from a trip out to Ontario to visit my Grandpa,
his Great Grandpa, who's 93 no less!!

And since most, actually all, of my family lives far from where I do, I think this new set from Avery Elle will come in very handy for sending quick little notes to keep in touch.

I used the new Sending You set for the sentiment and the little gold heart image, and the Oh Yeah Elle-ments die set to cut out the speech bubble.

Avery Elle Sending You Clear Stamps  Our Oh Yeah Custom Steel Die are exclusive to Avery Elle. The largest speech bubble is the perfect size to fit into a 3 x 4" page protector pocket or to create your own journaling card. These premium steel dies coordinate with our Oh yeah and Picture It clear photopolymer stamp sets and are proudly made in the USA. Measurements: Largest Speech Bubble Die - just under 3 " x 4"

#smile

Hello!!

Things around here have been pretty busy lately,
but last week we carved out a little time for some family photos.

It was so much fun to do, that I felt the need to do something special with some of the photos.

I made a scrap page!!
This is a first for me, I picked the photos, the paper, and came up with the layout all by myself, no workshop, nothing.

I never seem to be able to focus enough to do an entire layout.

This new fabulous set from Avery Elle,
#smile seemed like just the right thing to use.

Now, please excuse the terrible pic.
I have no clue how to photograph a layout, I've never done it before!

you're seriously awesome!

Good morning!

I seriously hope this posts!!
Blogger and I are on the outs again, and I can't quite seem to figure out why.

Anyway, today I have a pretty card to share with you.
The more I look at it the more I enjoy it.
Is that weird?

I started this card out with a COMPLETELY different idea in mind, and then it quickly morphed into this.

I just, again, used my distress ink pads that I "smooshed" onto my craft pad then spritzed with water.
Then grabbed a clear block and started dabbing.

The gold Delicata ink was just sitting there on my desk begging to be used and I thought it might go nicely!

I used Avery Elle's set Write It
the font is just so beautiful don't you think?

Well, thank you so much for stopping by today.
I'm hoping I can get this posting issue fixed soon.

Have a wonderful week!

Avery Elle, May Arts and Um Wow week long blog hop

Good Morning!!
All this week over at Avery Elle we are doing a super fun week long blog hop.

The Avery Elle DT got the amazing chance to play with some fabulous May Arts ribbon and Um Wow embellishments.

These products were so easy to use together.

I used the Avery Elle set Written In The Stars, some May Arts 1/2 inch woven burlap ribbon, Um Wow Twinkle Speech Bubbles and the Um Wow Star Confetti mask.

Now since I used watercolour for the mask, it of course leaked, but I really like the way it turned out.

Be sure to check out the Avery Elle Blog all this week for projects using May Arts ribbon and UmWowStudio products.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Storybook gift wrap

Good morning!

Today I have a gift wrapping share for you. I absolutely ADORE this fabulous Avery Elle set, Storybook.

Storybook Clear Stamps

The images are just too cute for words, and what better to use them for but to create some adorable gift wrap.

I took some plain packing paper, stamped those fabulous little animals in some brown chalk ink and Voila! homemade wrapping paper.

I like the look of the twine to carry on the rustic feel of it.

Pop on over to the Avery Elle blog to see what wonderful creations Chunyuan has in store for you.
