This week's is based on an absolutely GORGEOUS card by Laurie,
found here.
Isn't it stunning?

This is yet another extremely versatile sketch.
I just love it!

I decided to opt for the Holiday theme again, using PTI's Stylish Sentiments: Holiday set. I also used some May Arts chevron twill, and some Echo Park paper from their Holly Jolly line. I believe you can still at least get the digital papers here.

Hop on over to the RetroSketches blog to see what Arielle, Laurie and Brandi have created for your inspiration.

Avery Elle December Release Day 3

Good morning and welcome back!
It's day 3 of Avery Elle's December release.

The super yummy set we are showcasing today is called
Knotty.

Isn't this set just too darn cute!

I absolutely LOVE the sentiments.
"let's get knotty", "you float my boat"
How awesome!!

I just had to use those fabulous stripes.

And of course since I am so in love with the Lots of Love set I used one of the fabulous hearts from it to embellish this super simple card.

A new feature that Jamie is starting with this release is a Tips & Ideas sheet that will be available (and downloadable) for each set.
How fabulous is that??!!

Head on over to the Avery Elle blog for some fabulous ideas courtesy of Jamie and don't forget to hit up the rest of the DT's blogs.

JJ Bolton

Avery Elle December Release Day 2

edited to add: I got my scrabble tile blanks from here.
Good Morning!
It's Day 2 of the Avery Elle Release week, and what an adorable
set we have to showcase today.

Fun With Letters

The font is just fabulous!!

For some reason when I saw this my mind went straight to scrabble!!
So that's kind of where I went with it.

I printed out some fabulous wood grain paper, stamped the small square, then stamped the letters that I wanted.
I used a marker to draw in the number value.

Run on over to the Avery Elle blog to get some AMAZING ideas from Jamie on what you can do with this set. And grab all the details on how you can score yourself a $25 gift certificate to the store.

Also be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has for you!!
You will not be disappointed.

Come on back tomorrow for yet another showcase.
These sets will all be available at the store as of 12am December 5th.

RetroSketches #40

Good Morning again!!
to see my Avery Elle release post click here

It's of course Saturday,
so I have a fabulous new RetroSketch to share with you,
aaaaaaand we have a new guest Headliner this month.
It's non other than the fabulous Brandi Hall!!

This week's sketch is based on and ADORABLE card by our fabulous creator Arielle, you can see the original here.

So versatile!!

My card came about quite innocently.
I was cleaning up my craft area and noticed some papers lying on the floor that I had just recently purchased from the sale racks at my LSS.
They looked great together, and so my card was born!!

The red bracket-y looking paper is Crate Paper, Story Teller collection, and the grey arrow/feather-like paper is Studio Calico, Abroad collection.

The sentiment is Papertrey Ink from their Stylish Sentiments:Holiday set.
I cut it up to be able to ink the different sections in different colours.
Although now looking at it I wish I had cut it just below that second line.
Oh well!!

Head on over to the RetroSketches blog to discover the fabulous wonders Arielle, Laurie and our guest Brandi have created for you this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

RetroSketches #39

Good Morning!

I hope that my American friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

It's Saturday, time for another RetroSketches sketch.
This week's sketch is based on another one of Laurie's FABULOUS cards.
You can see the original here.

I tried to not only use the sketch, but Laurie always uses coloured cardstock so beautifully, that I wanted to try some out.

Not overly excited with how it turned out, I think it's still missing that something.

The knit-like background is WPlus9, the rest are Avery Elle, Framed Fonts. The cardstock, and ribbon are Avery Elle as well.

Head on over to the RetroSketches blog to see what gorgeousness Arielle and Laurie have for you this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

christmas share

Hey there!

I finally got into my craft room for a bit, something sparked my creativity.
Although I have no clue what!!

I was thinking of buying a table at a craft fair recently but was
a bit too late in acting on it and lost my chance.
Oh well, at least I have something to share with you guys over the next little while.

This set I made using a combo of PTI dies (wonderful words: holiday) and Paper Smooches sentiments cut apart from the All Yule Need and Christmas Sampler sets.

The adorable little birdie is PTI as well, from the Love Birds set.

Sorry for the slightly out of focus pictures.
My camera, photoshop and I are currently friends off!!

The paper is by Pink Paislee from their Snow Day collection which can be found at Jessica Sprague.

That's it for now!
Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
