have you HERD?

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holidays, and is looking forward to the New Year. I know I sure am. :)

TOday I have a sweet card that I think could be used for many situations.

All of these adorable animals are from the TAWS set With Wondering Awe. Except the little pig, which is from the Oinkers one of two free sets that come with a $90 purchase this month.

I also need to say that this will be my last post as a TAWS design team member. It has been such a blast working with Alison and all of the other AMAZING ladies on the design team.
After some soul searching and much debate, I have decided that I definitely need to spend some more quality time with my family, something needed to go for now.

My blog posts will be quite sporadic for a while but be sure to check back in February for some exciting stuff!!

I have also decided to focus a bit more on some other forms of crafting that are near and dear to my heart, one of which being sewing.

Please check out my Facebook page for more info on what I have been doing in that regard!

Thank you so very much for following me!
Take Care and have a wonderful rest of the Year!!

Shhhhh!

Hello there!!

I can't believe Christmas is almost here!!
I'm not even remotely close to being ready, are you?

Ugh, every year I plan on starting early and it just doesn't happen. LOL!

As usual, I just couldn't resist an idea I had for a baby card, and this one just makes me giggle.

Both of these adorable little creatures are from With Wondering Awe, as is the "Shh".
I created the rest of the sentiment I created using Tag Alongs and Baby Talk.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful Holiday Season.

Merry Christmas

Good Morning!

I just can't seem to get enough of this ADORABLE little
sheep, from the With Wondering Awe set.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Magic set.

I somehow just love the simplicity of this.
The sheep and his little mouse friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

a tag for you

Good Morning!

It's been quite the week around these parts.
Super busy and kind of an emotional roller coaster!

I have a quick tag to share with you today.

I used the bird from the Free-With-Purchase set, Oinkers, and reverse stamped it.

The "mistletoe" is from With Wondering Awe and the sentiment is from Tag-Alongs.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Peace on Earth and a goodbye

Good morning!

Today is officially my last post as a Design Team member for the AMAZING Avery Elle.

It was a very hard decision for me to make, but necessary.
Life has gotten quite busy and I just don't have the time to devote to crafting as much as I'd like.
And to spend more time with my family.

Jamie has been so wonderful to "work" for. She is a FABULOUS woman and artist. Thank You so much Jamie for taking me on!!

I created this using the large Finished Frames die and the super adorable Joy to The World stamp set.

I cut out some metallic gold paper with the die, then stamped the Peace on Earth stamp in Versamark, heat embossed white and then "coloured in" the inside with the Delicata Gold ink pad.
To get the smudges around the outside I wiped off the excess gold ink in circles, with a baby wipe, to spread it out past the edges.

I really like the effect!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Please head on over to the Avery Elle blog for some gorgeous inspiration from more members of the design team.

sending well wishes

Hello there!

I have a super quick share for you this morning,
a simple neutral get well card.

Nothing sends warm and healing vibes like a pot of tea.

I stamped, masked and heat embossed this gorgeous tea pot from the TAWS set Tea Par-tea.

Hop on over to the TAWS blog for more daily inspiration from the amazing design team.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. :)

merry tags

Hello there!

I have another quick Christmas tag to share with you today.

I used the Avery Elle set,

I used Gift Tags Dies to cut out the tags, and stamped the Christmas image.
I thought it needed a little something more along the bottom, so I used the vine from Happy Spring.
The "to" and "from" are from the Alice and Friends set.

happy holidiays

Good Morning!

Christmas is just one of my favourite times of year.
It was my Mom's as well, so things were always so well decorated and traditions upheld.

Lately it just seems to come up so darn quickly!

Today I have one of my Christmas cards to share, using the TAWS free-with-$40-purchase set Winter's Butterfly, as the background.

This little elf, from Toy Land, is one of my most favourite Christmas images.
The sentiment is from the Christmas Magic sentiment set.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
have a wonderful day!

we r family

Good Morning again!

For this post, I thought I would change things up a bit.

My usual MO is to make cards or gift tags, but every so often I decide to tackle something that is, for me, a bit more difficult.......

......A layout!!!

The new sets We R Family, and  We R Family additions, are just so darn perfect for this!

I also used some of the adorable little die cuts from the Finished Frames dies.

I'm pretty sure we are going to frame and hang this one.

Please be sure to head on over to the Avery Elle blog to check out more inspiration by the fabulous Chunyuan.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

you're tea-riffic

Good Morning!

Today is a very special day because it's the day we honour and remember family, friends and strangers who all have something very important in common,
they fought, and continue to fight, for our freedom.

My Grandpa is 94, and fought for the Canadian Military during the second world war.
Although he doesn't talk about it much, he proudly served and still wears his medals with pride.

My card today is SUPER simple,
but is a great way to tell that special someone how terrific they are!

For this card I used TAWS' new set Tea Par-tea.
This teapot is so fabulous, and makes a bold statement all by its self!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Lest we forget.

happy holidays

Good morning!

I can't believe it's already November and I can't believe that it's only 6 weeks to Christmas!!

I always say "I'll be more organized and on top of things next year".
Then the next year comes and I'm rushing to get things done, the same as I was the year before.

Oh well, some day?

While getting into the holiday spirit, I created this adorable little card using some older and (some new) Avery Elle sets, as well as their newly released dies,

I just love the edge you get on the paper when you cut these out, there is a larger size panel as well.
Now unfortunately I mostly covered up that edge with my stamping, but it still adds a bit of texture.

There are so many cute little die cuts that you can use as embellishments. I have actually used a few on a layout I will be showing you next week.

The other sets I used are North Pole, Joy to the World, and Let it Snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Head on over to the TAWS blog for the details, you have until 9:00pm TAWS

So three sets are being released, as well as the free with $40 purchase mini,
Winter's Butterflies.

TAWS October sneak peek Day 3 - Tea Par-Tea

Good Morning!

It's that time again, when we get to give you sneak peeks of the upcoming sets.

This new set, Tea Par-Tea, is just super sweet and adorable.
There are so many cute images and sentiments, plus it will pair nicely with the older set Breakfast club.

This idea came about because I have been recently trying to go through our family favourites, and write them out.

So I decided to design some in Photoshop, and left just enough room to stamp this cute little cup.

I did have to "selectively" stamp as there wasn't quite enough room to include the entire stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!

season's greetings

Hello, and good day!

I hope the week has gotten off to a good start, so far.

The weather here has been so lovely lately, I'm sort of scared for what might be in the works!!

But I'll take what I can get, it's supposed to be 14 degrees here for Halloween, and I couldn't be happier.
It will be so nice to not have to put your snowsuit on underneath your costume this year.

Anyway, today I have a card to share that is simple and festive.

I used the new "Season's Greetings" die from Avery Elle.

Now I would have loved to pop this panel up but a) I was too lazy to pop up all of those extra little pieces, and b) I actually think it stands out a bit more not being popped up.

Have a wonderful week!

hey you

Good Morning!!

I'm so excited that it's getting to be Halloween, one of my favourite times of year.

Super fun decorations, creative and interesting costumes and of course CANDY!!

I'm a sucker for candy, what can I say.
This year I'm even more excited because my son is a bit older and I think will enjoy it this year, he's almost 2.

My husband is a huge fan of Star Wars, and our nickname for our son is Ewok (his name is Ewan) so we've decided to dress him up as Wicket. I can't wait to see how adorable he looks in it!

Anyway, on to my card for today.

I created this card with one of the fabulous feather images from TAWS Tickle Me Happy, and a sentiment from Tri-Me.

Thanks fo stopping by, have a wonderful weekend!

enjoy the book

Hello!

I hope you are having a fabulous day.

Today I have a quick project to share with you. I am loving making bookmarks these days, for some unknown reason. Especially since so many people are forgoing paperbacks for the digital age.
But it's just something I can't give up!

This adorable fox is from Avery Elle's new set More Stories, which complements perfectly the older set, Storybook.

I also used Picture It and Bottle It Up for the sentiment and speech bubble.

HEad on over to the Avery Elle blog for more inspiration from the fabulous Chunyuan today as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!!

love always

Good Morning!

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful feast with family or friends.
I unfortunately work but my hubby promises a nice plate full of all the fixin's will be waiting for me courtesy of my inlaws.

I can't wait!!

Anyway here is a quick card I made using the TAWS set Tickle Me Happy.
I adore the feathers in this set, they are so much fun to work with.
I have so many ideas.

The sentiment is from an older set, Talk To Me.

Thank so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful day.

a floral thanks

Good day!

I hope you are having a wonderful day, I know it's the start of a new week but......maybe?

I am just coming off of a fabulous visit with my bestie, who came out from Ontario to visit and run a Spartan race in Kamloops.
It was a lovely visit and my little man just ADORES her.

Anyway, on to the card!

This bright, floral thank you card was made using all Avery Elle pigment inks. They are so easy to work with, and the colours are just fantastic.

The flowers and dies are from the new Fabulous Florals stamps and dies. There are just so many different combinations and they also pair nicely with Laurels, and Petals & Stems.

I am just so happy with the way this turned out. :)

This weekend we also had some family photos done, and we just got some sneak peeks and they are fantastic.
I have to share a few.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great week.

add a little dazzle

Hello again!!

Such an exciting day.

It's Add A Little Dazzle and Avery Elle week!
This week the Avery Elle design team is playing with some amazing metal sheets from Add A Little Dazzle.
These sheets work great with our Elle-ments dies!

After visiting here, be sure to check out the Add A Little Dazzle blog for even more inspiration!

Be sure to comment on our company and designer blogs throughout to week to be entered to win one of two prizes - a $30 Avery Elle Gift Certificate or a prize from Add A Little Dazzle!
Winners will be announced on Monday, October 6th.

These metal sheets are so much fun.
I have so many more creations planned with them, but for now here's one.

I used the matte black sheet to but out the web, using Avery Elle's Boo Elements Die, and distressed it a bit by scraping some of the black off to reveal the silver underneath.

I also used the Circle Tag Elements die and the Boo stamp set.

Make sure to check out the Avery Elle blog all week to see all of the amazing creations the DT has for you!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
