a few cards for color throwdown

When I come across a colour combo I like, I can't be stopped! The color throwdown combo for this week is kraft, so saffron and chocolate chip.
I made this card for my cousin who had a very surprise wedding at the beginning of August. They actually told everyone it was a surprise party for a specific family member or friend depending on what group they were trying to get to show up. It may seem strange but my cousin hates being the center of attention and didn't want all the bells and whistles that can go along with a wedding. Ingenious!
It's sort of hard to tell but behind the brown cut-out layer I stamped in yellow, an image from PTI's guidelines set. I also used one of PTI's impression plates. The felt, flower die and paper are all papertrey ink.

My next card is just for fun, made using a Unity stamp of the month kit, keeping with the same colour combo. Paper-pieced with PTI patterned paper (bitty dot basics and bitty box basics) and cardstock.
I have also decided to give myself a challenge, since I seem to like taking on others'. While I was sorting out all my clear/cling stamps I realized how many I have and how little (or not at all!) they have been used. So...I hve given myself the challenge of using at least a few from each set every week (or two) to get inking. We'll see how it goes.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!
