Amber over at Damask Love hosts a fabulous reject blog hop, so I thought I would link up a couple of my latest rejects, from the most recent Papercrafts Magazine call. Head over and check out the blog hop and her other fabulous designs.
I know I'm a tad late with this post, but better late than never right?

For some reason I was really drawn to the text category!
This first one came about because Polariods seem to be all the rage right now, or maybe were......and I was inspired by my friend Lindy who designs polaroid cards with her own photographs, find her at Crafted by Lindy on Etsy.
I wanted to do something similar with my own photos but I wanted to do a mini picture with some text behind it? I actually LOVE how it turned out.
My second card uses some masking and this Hero Arts stamp I am so in love with lately.
I used the same size rectangle to mask that is typical me but I didn't do a blue background with it!! I stamped text instead! I kept the mask down then stamped the silhouette stamp twice, using my stampamajig. In hindsight I think next time I will stamp it a couple more times so you are unable to see the text behind the silhouette. I plan on trying this with some different colours, red, orange, yellow silhouette on black text maybe? I don't know. :)
Well that's my reject post, thanks for sharing it with me!
And thanks for stopping by!
I love both of them! The 2nd one is really cool - if you try it out with a lighter text in the background and in different colors, you should post again! I'd love to see :)
ReplyDeleteOh, fabulous! Love the photo idea, and the second card is so sweet! No rejects here!
ReplyDeleteAdorable. Love the idea of the polaroid card - genius.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet!!! I especially LOVE the Kraft card - too much fun!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant cards Kasia, love the text bkgd on the sympathy card. The silhouette stamp works so weep on the text too :)

These are both terrific! Perfectly done and beautiful. That's for linking it up. These really need to be seen!
ReplyDeleteI love these "rejects"! LOL! That image of the little kids is so cute!
ReplyDeleteBoth your cards are amazing Kasia! My fave would have to be the kraft (I seem to have a major attachment to it at the moment)!
ReplyDeleteRejects?! LOL these are better than most of my best! :) I think they are fabby just the way they are! You can't win 'em all, right?
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards! I love the text. I'm a big fan of text stamps. I can't even wrap my brain around how you did that silhouette though. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd a huge thanks for mentioning and linking to my shop! I really appreciate it!
I love both of these! The first one has such a beautiful look to it and is striking! The 2nd is just such a sweet CAS card!! Great work!
ReplyDeleteLove this, will have to try it some time.
ReplyDeleteOoooooo!! I LOVE these both! The first card is so different (in a great way!) and I love all of the possibilities of using different text, photos, etc. It looks like a work of art! The second has one of my fave HA stamps. I love how it turned out...you rock!!
ReplyDeleteFab cards - they ceratinly don't seem like rejects ;)
