Just a super quick post to share the card I made for my Mother-in-law's birthday yesterday! She is a triplet (not identical), and naturally, how cool is that! What's even more cool is that her aunt is also a triplet and my husband is a twin! Yikes! I think it's a really good thing that the deciding factor is the mom, because I have NO multiples on my side. :)
We went over yesterday for dinner, before I went to work and her one brother surprised her with a visit! (one of the triplets). Unfortunately they lost their other brother about 7 years ago to Lou Gehrig's disease, so birthdays are still a bit hard.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone has a fantiastic Thursday. Yay, it's almost Friday!!! :)

Wow, that's a lot of multiples for one family! I'm sure this card will be well-loved -- it's simple and elegant at the same time. Love that you used the negative of the die cut as a lovely frame.
ReplyDeleteI love this card, love the little butterfly and the woodgrain.

ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous! I love the layout and wood grain pattern. Yikes! Triplets, and twins, oh my! Could you imagine?
ReplyDeletebeautiful and elegant. I never thought about how birthdays could be bittersweet for multiples when one passes... have a great day!
ReplyDeleteA stunning example to show us how gorgeous CAS can be. I love the subtle addition of the butterfly and that little heart; a gorgeous "piece" of color splash!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card!
Fun card! I love the embossed texture and die-cut window detail ;)
ReplyDeleteHope everyone had a lovely time celebrating. Hugs, Ruth S
Oh, I love this design! Some of my favorite cards are ones with a die cut window like this, but I rarely think to do it myself! And that woodgrain! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteKasia, this is SO cute. I love the way the die is used and the colors are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteLove the composition of this! I'm always so inspired by your work!
ReplyDeleteClean, elegant, and gorgeous! Thanks for the email yesterday.....I found the paper! :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...and being a multiple isn't half bad, I couldn't imagine life without my identical twin sister!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, Kasia! The colours, layout, everything is so perfect. I hope the celebration was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!! My dad is a twin but his twin didn't survive birth. It's kinda fun to imagine 2 of him which would have been fun since he's an awesome dad.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Great layering and I love that tiny turquoise heart. :)
ReplyDeleteSo what are you saying.. you don't want to be popping out quintuplets or anything?? LOL! :)
This is just beautiful. Love the framed image with the teeny heart and then the matching butterfly.
ReplyDeleteI love the different size of the card and the various shapes are fabulous! The window is such a great idea and that little heart...so cute!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, in response to you being a Calgary fan I have to say that I will never switch from the Canucks but I have a lot of respect for and absolutely love Iginla. Sidney may have had the golden goal but it wouldn't have happened it if weren't for Iggy.
hope you and your family had a good weekend and the celebrations continued :)
This is beautiful!! Love the colors and the design!
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of multiples like that on my dad's side, and I am sorry to also hear about them losing their brother it's even harder to take a loss when they are a multiple. I love the little touches in your card like the aqua heart! Very nice!
