birthday stars

Howdy! I have a card to share, quickly, before I forget! I have been having some forgetfullness issues lately. Plus, too much to do with SO little time, ya know?

The latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge is buttons and twine, so here is what I am offering up:

I reverse masked the stars, then stamped with PTI's polka dot basics background. I then took matching twine and glued it around the edges. Much easier to come up with than to execute I must say! The button in the pic looks so green, but IRL it matches a little better. :)

Well, I am off to nap and nurse my whole body wounds from last night! My team may not have won but we played a great game. We were within 5 points the entire game until the very end. I must also add that the team we played has been undefeated for 2 years, and usually slaughters the competition. Not this time!!!

Have a great rest of the weekend. :)

  21. So fun and creative Kasia. Love how you overlapped those two stars without showing a lump of twine. I am sure this card was harder to make than it looks.

  28. Kasia, this is so awesome and deserving of the TGIF prize! You go, girl!! The last time I tried to adhere twine this way, it resulted in a huge mess so, yes, I'm really amazed at this card. Way to win a derby, too!

  29. This is where I'd seen you before! I knew that I knew your name but couldn't recall how/why. I remember seeing this card when checking out the CAS-ual Friday entrants... Super cool! Looked like so much work to adhere the twine that way!!
