Retrosketches #4

Yay for weekends!!
I am so excited to be able to bring you the fourth RetroSketches sketch today.
This week's sketch, is courtesy of Jackie Rockwell from Rockwell Designs.
Check out her blog and all of her wonderful card creations.

I was loving the polkadot paper I used last week, plus I came across my untouched set by TSG, called World's Best, and decided I had to use them.

I tried to pick one of the fun colours from the patterned paper to colour the ribbon and for some reason the red struck me. I know that blue is the typical 1st place colour, but I thought red was just a little more in-your-face!!

We would love to see you play along again this week.
So head on over to the RetroSketches blog to check out the inspiration from Arielle, Jackie and Laurie, then put on your crafty boots and join us. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Love those colorful polka dots and the contrast with the text!

  4. Love the bold colours on top of the text background, great shading on the rosette too :0)

  6. Red is always a winning colour! :D Awesome polka-dot paper, and I really like the masked (?) panel on the card base, too.

  7. This sketch looks great! And you sure knew how to use it :) I love the strip of text and the cute little prize ribbon you used over it :)

  8. This is gorgeous, Kasia! I love the colourful rosette against the black and white strip of text!

  9. How fun! What a cute award ribbon and a sweet rainbow of polka dots!!
