I was blog surfing yesterday and saw Char from Willow & Paisley's post. (Check out her card here, she had one accepted too, i can't wait to see what it looks like!)
The title was "reject blog hop" so I had to check it out. Turns out she was posting along with an idea started by Amber from Damask Love to link up our creations that were passed on by Papercrafts' last submission call Go-To Sketches. With almost 2800 submissions and only 288 spots there were bound to be a few they couldn't take. :)
So I thought I would play along too. I submitted 4 and none were accepted. Maybe next time! Of course I think i picked all of the popular ones!
You can find all 84 sketches here to download.
The other thing was I guess I didn't really think too outside the box on these sketches either!
I was inspired to make these last 2 by a starbucks gift card. I guess I CASE'd it a little too closely! :)
Be sure to check out Amber's blog and link up your own creations too.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

I love these cards, especially the mug ones!
ReplyDeleteI love the Starbucks inspired cards! Thanks for following and commenting on my blog! Your comment was so helpful to me! Forever, I have been trying to find a way to describe my card making style. "Bold Color with simple design" is the perfect description! Thanks for stopping by the blog hop:)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love the button card - the colors are amazing together! I had to laugh though at your Starbucks inspired cards. They might not have been picked up because a friend and I were at Starbucks the morning that we really buckled down and created for the sketches call, we saw the same gift card, and my friend created a card almost identical to yours!! LOL Who'da thunk?!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThey both turned out gorgeous but I love love love the first one with the butons....fabulous! Love the combo of kraft, pink and red!
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS love your cards, Kasia! None of mine got picked up either, oh well... Always another time ahead, right? ;) **hugs**
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear none of these got picked up, but I think they're fab! I especially love the one with the buttons. I submitted for that sketch too and it was a reject, so I can't wait to see what made it in. So glad you shared these fun cards!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are super cute! I especially love the first one, very cute CAS design.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Kasia! I LOVE that one in the middle. The colours just pop! BTW, I love the ones you have published in the March/April issue. :)

ReplyDeleteI just love both of these cards. The color combo (green) on the coffee one just pops against the white! These are great girl!
ReplyDeleteFun cards Kasia - sorry they didn't get picked up. Better luck next time. Meantime, we get to enjoy them now, huh?!! Great job ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Ruth S
