I found these stickers at my LSS and wanted to try them. They aren't really my style but I thought, hey let's give it a go!
Stained glass is yet another craft that I would LOVE to try and learn but is it ever expensive! My aunt does it and is absolutely amazing at it! I think I will just live vicariously through her. :)
Here's my paper version!
I couldn't find anywhere on the exterior that I liked a sentiment so I decided to leave it and put it on the inside.
I found these really easy to colour since, sort of like embossed images, the sticker keeps you inside the lines. I like that! A lot!
I just cut out around the sticker (i had stuck it to white cardstock) and pop-dotted it up. Oh and since I didn't have any ribbon to match I just coloured some white ribbon with the green copic I used to colour the stems. Love that!
Thank you for all of the Blog Birthday wishes! I hope veryone is having a great week. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Love your card Kasia - the faux stained glass image really rocks! I think I remember seeing a similar idea where the sticker is stuck to a piece of acetate so when the light catches the colours and shines through, it is even more like a glass panel. I'll definitely have to bookmark your card so I remember to give it a go! Gorgeous.

What a very pretty card... love the "stained glass". And my favorite part is the matching ribbon... what a great idea :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous I love the look of the image!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that this card needs a sentiment anyway :) It is simply gorgeous by itself!!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is so beautiful, Kasia! I haven't seen any stickers like this before, but the stained glass look is so cool! Great choice of colors, too.
ReplyDeleteWho says you need to have a sentiment on the outside? The focal point is so beautiful that your eye is drawn just to that beauty! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteYour post is full of fun ideas, and of course, an absolutely gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteThis card speaks for itself and doesn't need a sentiment. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy father-in-law does stained glass stuff too and, yeah, it looks waaaay to dangerous for an accident-prone gal like me!
ReplyDeleteYour card is definitely more my speed -- plus, it's just really lovely, and I love that you colored the ribbon -- I've seen it done with silk before, but not satin. New trick to try!
Thanks :)
Wow, that stained glass effect is awesome! Great colouring and I agree with liking the help staying inside the lines. :)
ReplyDeleteI have "Little Bee" (surprise surprise) but haven't read it yet. I loved Chris Cleave's first book though ("Incendiary") so I'm looking forward to "Little Bee".
This is absolutely beautiful!! Your coloring on that image is fantastic, and it does look like stained glass!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that's a sticker? That you can colour? What a great find!! I really love what you've done with it. You are so innovative and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteDear Kasia, this card is very beautiful, special, it looks like it is really made on glass. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThanks also form stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. I,m sending you warm regards to Canada from Slovenia/Europe:))
Stunning, Kasia! That image is just gorgeous. I love how this turned out. The rounded corners are the perfect finishing touch too.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to check my post tonight - I've got something special for you there! ;)
Oh my gosh this is awesome! It truly looks like real stained glass! I am very impressed. Also, I haven't tried the coloring the ribbon with Copics technique, I'm definitely going to have to give that one a try.
ReplyDeleteI found you through Suzanne's blog and am so happy I did. I love your style and will now be following you for each post :) Too bad I didn't find you last night to get in on your blogoversary post! Next year ;)
Kasia, this is so cool. Love the look of the stained glass!
